Trip Update – Watershed Park, August 22

Hugh Fraser from the Corporation of Delta will lead us on the tour of the Watershed Park artesian springs on August 22. However, the starting time for this walk will be at 8.30 AM, an hour earlier than usual. We will meet at the informal parking area on 64th Street, Delta, just past Lyon Road.

We will be walking on narrow forest trails, some of which are uneven, so the trip may not be accessible to everyone, unfortunately. The formal tour will take about an hour and then we can stroll back through the forest. Car-pooling from Ladner and Tsawwassen can be organized, if interested, contact Anne Murray, sanderling(at)uniserve.com.

  1. For those not familiar with North Delta, Watershed Park is on 64th Avenue, not 64th Street. As it goes up the hill from Hwy 91 you may also see signs that call it Kitson Parkway along the edge of the park.
